Bob's artistic love affair with wood started at the tender age of fourteen when he began training as a cabinetmaker in England and later pursuing his career in Canada.
While working at Craftwood in Toronto, Ontario, Bob became known around the world for his design and production of wood furnishings. Upon retiring in 1996, Bob turned his skills from cabinetmaker to woodturner.
Over the years he has perfected complicated turning techniques incorporating geometric segmentation, carved and sculpted surfaces, on-lathe router work and the use of materials other than wood.
This impressive technical and artistic variety of work has led to numerous awards across Canada and the United States.
Take a quick glimpse at one of his pieces.
