Guild Challenge
The guild challenges are a wonderful tool that helps our members to explore different types of turning.
Since our membership is diverse in style and content of turning, these challenges offer opportunities to try projects that a member may not normally do.
The completed challenges are brought into the meetings and are constructively critiqued by respected members of the guild. The critic offers their opinion as to why a shape or design works. This becomes a great learning tool for all of the guild members regardless of their turning abilities.

June 2010 Challenge
RULES
The rules of engagement for this challenge are simple.
Take the block of wood and turn something out of it.
You may chop it, cut it, color it, reassemble it, glue it, epoxy it.
Make it lie down, sit up or stand on its edge.
If you lose some of the block along the way, so be it.
The only thing you can NOT do is add wood.
So let your imagination soar, stay inside the box or sail away to the far reaches.
Just remember to have fun.
